Google map to Porlock Beach.
If you need an address for your GPS, use 233 Portlock Road. Figure about 40 minutes travel time.
From the Waikiki get onto Kalanianaole Hwy heading east out to Hawaii Kai which is before Haunama Bay. We suggest using the Diamond Head Road and Kahala Ave to access Kalanianaole Hwy versus getting on the H-1 freeway as you GPS might suggest because of afternoon traffic.
After about 8-10 miles Kalanianaole Hwy of many intersections and through residential and commercial areas you’ll arrive at the beginning of Hawaii Kai (see sign across road on left at intersection of Hawaii Kai Drive and Kalanianaole Hwy). To the right will be a large open parking area for a boat ramp. You're getting close, about a half mile from there.
Go through the intersection of Keahole and Kalanianaole, stay in your right lane, drive past the hut/building structure on the ocean side, over a canal and small highway bridge. Not far after, you’ll see one of those yellow “walking man” signs and just past that, you’ll see the “Portlock” sign.
Turn right at the sign. This is the beginning of Portlock Road but, instead of going down Portlock Rd, continue make a sharp right u-turn, so, you're facing the direction you came, west. You're here, we'll see you!
Parking behind the sign or down that street direction. Weekday are usually good but, if no parking, you'll have to find parking down Portlock Road which is only on one side of the road facing west. FYI: Parking is not allowed within 4 feet of driveways. Do not block driveways.
We'll walk up a public access to the public beach for your ceremony.
FYI: If you go past the Portlock Road entrance and see the KoKo Marina Shopping Center on the left, you went too far but, no worries. Just take a right at the intersection onto Lunalilo Home Rd. and drive straight down to Portlock Rd., take a right. Drive all the way down the road heading towards Honolulu (west) and you'll see us at the end of the road just after the west Portlock Rd. entrance.
IMPORTANT
- Map apps may route you to the H-1 freeway which is OK or you can go through Waikiki and around Diamond Head. Apps may also underestimate the travel time. Use our estimates and directions above.
- If you're unsure of the location and travel time, we suggest checking out the route and location prior to the wedding day p referably during the same hours scheduled,
- It's always better to be a little early. If you're late, we may have to shorten your coverage or not perform your ceremony at all and no money will be returned.
