Makapu'u Lookout

For an exceptional cliffside and ocean view, Makapuu Pt. Lookout offers breathtaking views of Windward Oahu.

We suggest morning to mid-afternoon when the sun shines of the sandy sea bottom for the most saturated blues but, afternoon works too. We will often schedule a portrait session following a Sandy Beach or Waimanalo ceremony in the morning or just prior to a Portlock sunset ceremony.

Be aware, it is a cliffside location and will normally be windy which can cause attire and hair to blow. Also, it is adjacent to a popular scenic lookout. While we do go over the wall to get nearer the cliffside and away from people, there will be people at the lookout. Finally, we're usually  very lucky but, parking can be a problem. This location is not suggested for large groups.
