Travel to Magic Island

Magic Island is within the larger Ala Moana Beach Park on the east side and nearest to the Diamond Head Waikiki side of the park.
From Waikiki, get on Ala Moana Blvd, heading west from Waikiki and stay in the left lane. Take the left at the intersection at Atkinson and Ala Moana Blvd. Note: You will see Ala Moana Shopping Center on the opposite corner and Yacht Harbor Towers on your right.
The Magic Island peninsula abuts the parking lot. Enter the large parking lot and park as close to the back end if you can. Monday to Thursday is usually OK, Friday not so bad, weekends forget about it.
As you look out towards the Magic Island park area, the boat harbor will be on the left. This is the side of the park we will be doing the ceremony and the sidewalk you'll use.
At the end of the parking lot, equidistant from the east and west of the parking lot, right in the center and before entering the park, we'll be waiting on the park bench waiting for you. We'll greet you and walk out together to pick a available spot.
Note: If by taxi, Uber, or Lyft, try to have them drop you off where we meet you. Book your ride to ensure timely pick-up i.e. don't wait until the last minute to order a ride!
IMPORTANT
- Map apps may route you to Kapiolani Blvd, always use Ala Moana Blvd. More importantly, if it's after 3 pm, do not use the map app routes which may tell you to take Kapiolani Blvd. They do not indicate the "No Left Turn" from Kapiolani onto Atkinson Drive and other streets!
- If you're unsure of the location and travel time, we suggest checking out the route and location prior to the wedding day preferably during the same hours scheduled.
- It's always better to be a little early. If you're late, we may have to shor.en your coverage or not perform your ceremony at all and no money will be returned.
