Set-Ups for your Hawaii ceremony

Floral Set-Ups

There's really nothing better than the natural beauty of Hawaii's beaches and ocean as your background. With that said, some clients want to create a "sense of place" for their ceremony.

For this we've created our Tiki floral set-up. It's simple, beautiful, allowed, and best of all... it's uniquely Hawaiian in feel.

You can order just the Tiki flower set-up, just the Orchid circle lei, just the Orchid flowers individually, or all combined for the set-up shown above.

We can do this full set-up at Waialae/Kahala or Magic Island, only. The circle lei and/or spot flowers cannot be used on beaches. Note: As per our permit, outside ceremony site decorations are not allowed.

Archs and Chairs

We do not suggest spending money on this. Why? Your money is better spent on things that create lasting value like, more photos, video, musician, limousine, flowers, even cake and toast service and pretty much everything else we offer.

Consider these points:

1). Chairs and arches are prohibited on all Hawaii beaches as per beach permit regulations. Note: It is available with an additional per for Magic Island and Waialae Beach Park.

2). The ceremony is only 10-12 minutes long and the entire coverage. We just don't think the cost is worth it.

3). It transforms and complicates a simple beach wedding into something it's not suppose to be, costly and complicated.

4). A set-up limits your location options for beaches and parks and specific spots at those beach parks. Pretty much, you have to be in or just outside the tree-line. We like being as close to the ocean as practical.

5). You have no control of public areas. Simply, any set-up you see on other websites, may or may not be "open" on wedding day. Worse, if there's maintenance trucks, coconut tree trimmers, sunbathers, fishermen, swimmers, or people just hanging out in your background, you can't simply move the whole set-up or face in another direction.

6). If there's rain, you just can't divert to another beach like we sometimes do. Same if there's a big unforseen event on your ceremony day at the beach you've chosen.

7). On anything other than a flat beach, arches, gazebos, and chairs just don't set up well and often look crooked. Plus, chairs in the sand are not the firmest of things to sit on.

8). Half of your guests will prefer to stand anyway LOL. FYI: Knowing this, order half the amount of chairs, pay less, and have no empty chairs.

9). Why have your guests sitting in the hot sun and take a chance of all of the above being possible.

We've done our ceremonies with 30-50 guests without any set-up or chairs and it works really well. Spend your money on something else, you're not making your wedding any more special by having chairs and a set-up

Finally, if your dream is to have a ceremony set-up, chairs, arch, etc. our best advice is to pay a hotel or private estate to do your ceremony and have it on their lawn. They're grounds are set-up for that sort of thing, they can make changes in the event of inclement weather, and of course, they will charge you significantly more!
