Duke Kahanomoku Beach

Duke Kahanomoku Beach fronts the Hilton Hawaiian Hotel and within walking distance from central Waikiki. This spot offers a striking view of the ocean, Waikiki, and Diamond Head. The area is an excellent location for photography in the later afternoon and it is fully accessible for individuals with disabilities. 

Our preferred location for ceremonies is on the beach and up against the water. The area can be busy with a variety of ocean activities and beachgoers nearby (see map). Simple, what you gain in convenience you give in privacy. There is a parking area adjacent to the beach though parking can be a challenge especially in the Summer.

Scheduling Monday to Thurday, late afternoon, specifically from 4 PM to one hour prior to sunset, offers the best lighting conditions for photography.  Saturday and Sunday are notably congested and Friday usually unavailable because of the fireworks set-up.
