Oahu Dream Weddings Travel to Waimanalo Beach

Google map to Waimanalo

Waimanalo Beach is a 4 mile stretch of beach on the Windward shoreline and eastern side of Oahu. We suggest 45-60 minutes for travel from Waikiki.

If you're leaving from Waikiki, we suggest using Kalaniana'ole Hwy. going around the coast heading east to Haunama Bay, Sandy Beach, and around the tip of the island at Makapuu Pt..

Our access is at the Waimanalo Beach Cottages, 41-10 Wailea St., Waimanalo HI approx. 3 miles from Makapuu Pt..

Immediately after Waimanalo Beach Park and just past the baseball field, you'll see a "7-11" store and gas. Immediately turn right onto Wailea St. and follow until, the road takes a sharp left. In that corner to the right you'll see "Waimanalo Beach Cottages"

You're going to park on the street on the grass areas (where permitted) just around the public beach access adjacent to the property. Look for the yellow sign which says “100G”. This is the 911 emergency locator designation for the beach access lane. You might be able to use this on your map app.

Our vendors must use the private property access through the property as per City & County law which prohibits commercial vendor access through the public access you'll be using. Have $100 in cash ready before the ceremony to pay the property owner (if present) or our photographer (our lead vendor) to remit to the property owner.

That's about it. Pretty easy.

IMPORTANT

- If your ceremony is in the morning before 10 am and leaving from Waikiki do not follow map apps to the H-1 freeway and north using the Pali Hwy.. Morning traffic will hold you up.

- If you are unsure of the location of the site and travel time, and you are providing your own transportation, we suggest that you travel the route during the same hours scheduled, prior to the wedding day.
